Fiserv and UnionPay International partner to expand payment choice for customers across more than 2,200 ALDI Nord stores

The nationwide rollout is live and has been enabled via Fiserv, ensuring secure and reliable card acceptance at scale. ALDI Nord has added UnionPay cards and UnionPay QuickPass to the payment methods listed on its website.
The expansion builds on the longstanding collaboration between ALDI Nord and Fiserv and reflects the retailer’s ongoing focus on offering customers simple and inclusive payment options. With UnionPay acceptance now activated across more than 2,200 ALDI Nord stores, shoppers visiting or residing in Germany can benefit from a smoother checkout experience.

The move also comes at a moment when payment preferences in Europe are becoming increasingly diverse. Cross-border travel continues to rise, and retailers are looking for ways to accommodate international payment methods without adding complexity at the point of sale.
